We rely on laminates and composites for some of our most hardwearing surfaces in the home, from our countertops to our flooring, and our IKEA furniture on top.
I repair all damage to laminates and melamine surfaces, including burns, chips, delamination and swelling due to water ingress.
All repairs are expertly colour matched by hand for a bespoke and delicate finish.

Floors are a wear surface, but sometimes damage can occur which spoils the look of a floor prematurely.
Hardwood, laminate, tile, carpet, and stone floors can be repaired by Riverbend, including damage such as burns, cracks, chips, dents, and scratches.

Ceramics are naturally difficult to repair, and require professional tools and knowledge. Riverbend can repair chips and cracks in baths, sinks, toilets, shower trays, printed ceramics, and solid colour tiles. I provide spot and chip repairs for sanitaryware made of porcelain.
I also provide resin injection services for hollow tiles and tiles with poor subfloor adhesion.

We expend a lot of energy and resources choosing beautiful and functional furniture pieces for our homes, thus it’s economical to repair furniture rather than replace it.
I offer repairs to hard surfaces on furniture, whether it’s natural wood, Ikea laminate, French polish, or high gloss polyester finishes (such as on a grand piano). Additionally, small structural repairs and fabric stain removal can be included in the repair job.

I repair scratches, chips and fractures in all UPVC plastic windows, doors, siding, and trims. I stock colour matched fillers and paints to repair the most popular colours from the largest manufacturers. I can also manually or digitally colour match UPVC depending on the scale of the damage and client preferences.
Riverbend also offers cosmetic repairs to timber windows and door, whatever the finish.

Hardwood Repair - Water Damage
This engineered hardwood floor was damaged by water and wear leading to unsightly marks in an otherwise beautiful floor.
After a discussion the customer decided that he wanted the damaged areas painted to blend in with the surrounding floor, as replacement planks could not be sourced.
I used the highest quality solvent-thinned pigments, which are not soluble in water and have a tendency to work their way into the wood, making them far more hard wearing than traditional paint. I colour matched the paints in various lighting conditions. As this repair sits in full sunlight, it is important to get the base hue as good as possible.
The painted areas were then covered with several clear coats, which were polished/dulled to match the sheen level of the surrounding boards.
